GMC Factory Warranty

When a new GMC vehicle is purchased, it comes with a limited factory warranty. The GMC factory warranty includes a standard bumper-to-bumper warranty, a limited powertrain warranty, a corrosion warranty, and roadside assistance. The GMC factory warranty covers repairs needed to the vehicle if the failure is caused by a manufacturer defect or workmanship. The factory warranty begins the day the vehicle is delivered to the first owner (in-service date) or the first day of use.

The standard bumper-to-bumper section of the GMC factory warranty covers repairs to most components of the vehicle that are needed due to manufacturer defect or workmanship. It applies for 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. The GMC powertrain warranty includes the engine, transmission, transaxle, transfer case, and drive systems. It will cover the cost of re pairs for 5 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. The GMC corrosion warranty covers repairs of rust-through needed to any body sheet metal panel due to manufacturer defect or workmanship. It is valid for 6 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. The GMC roadside assistance program encompasses services such as trip interruption benefits, lock-out service, flat tire change, fuel delivery service, emergency towing, and battery jump start. The roadside assistance program applies for 5 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.

For GMC 2006 or older models, the powertrain warranty coverage is only valid for 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. Also for 2006 or older models, there is no roadside assistance program.

The GMC Factory Warranty covers what is noted above. For a complete list of what is not covered please refer to the "What is Not Covered" section of the GMC Warranty Booklet.
